zhiru cao received the b.s. degree in building electricity & intelligence from nanjing tech university, nanjing, china, in 2016. she is currently pursuing her ph.d. degree in control science & engineering at east china university of science and technology, shanghai, china. from november 2018 to february 2019, she was a research assistant with the department of mechanical engineering, the university of hong kong. she is now a visiting ph.d. student with the department of electronic and computer engineering, brunel university london, uxbridge, u.k. her current research areas are markovian jump systems, sliding mode control, and finite-time control.
